After school and Holiday club
Both our After School and Holiday clubs allow students to socialise with their peers outside of school hours. It also allows them to build relationships with different staff and students of various ages and abilities which is vital to their future skills of managing different relationships in their lives. It gives students the opportunity away from the structure of the school day to choose what they want to do. This is a really important tool as quite often the students social activities are limited by their disabilities.
The activities that occur are music, bingo, quizzes and board games, drawing, art and crafts, cooking and sports. During Holiday Club we also arrange for trips to the local park and to the seaside. These visits are not only fun and enjoyable for the children but also encourages the use of life skills. At events such as Valentine’s Day and Christmas the students will have a special celebration or meal with a friend of their choice.
After School Club is run during term time for ages 13 – 19 every Monday and ages 5 – 12 every Wednesday.
Holiday Club is run during every school break for all ages.
Please contact the school office for more details or to book your child on.
