Admissions Policy for Southview School
We are a 60 place setting but currently have 79 students at the school for children and young people aged between 3 – 19 years. Placement of a pupil at the school is the decision of the LA in consultation with the school and parents. Students will be considered for the school when it is clear that they will benefit from the provision and that they meet the following criteria:
- The pupil has a statement or Education Health Care plan.
- The pupil’s prime need is identified as severe physical difficulty combined with a neurological impairment.
- The pupil may have additional needs, which could include:
- Learning difficulties
- Medical needs
- Speech and language difficulties
It is the Local Authority who have responsibility for admissions to the School.
