Students from Doucecroft who were part of our team also achieved some great results making it an all round team effort!

In the afternoon students powered up and down in the relay races, the atmosphere was amazing with lots of cheering and excitement!

News from Sunshine

Sunshine class have been looking after the planters in the sensory garden this year and all children have enjoyed helping.

We spent time tidying the area, preparing the soil and trimming the braches from the trees to provide enough light.

We planted lots of vegetables including onions, radishes and peas and have enjoyed watching them grow.

We have grown herbs such as lemon balm and chocolate mint with smell amazing. The flower bed is full of pretty colours and we even have a few strawberries. Everyone has been keen to help to water them each day.

News from College

On Tuesday 9th May, the Tabor Centre Boccia Team came to Southview to challenge the College students to a game.

The Tabor Centre Team have previously taken part in the local Boccia league so we weren’t quite sure how our performance would fair against a more experienced team! The group were so friendly and we all exchanged tips and tactics to help us improve our skills and game. We won a game and lost one then we mixed the teams together to see how we got on. Everyone had such a good time. There was some ex-Southview students in the Tabor Team who were thrilled to come back and see familiar staff and see how the school has changed.

It was a fantastic experience for all and we hope to challenge them again at their own training venue in the near future.
