Welcome back to school for the Summer Term. We hope you have enjoyed some sunshine during the very pleasant Easter break. Learners are busy settling in and getting back to their routine.  

We have attached the academic calendar for 2017-2018 to the newsletter, this includes the non-pupil days.

 

School Fund Facebook Page

We have just set up a School Fund Facebook page to give you regular updates on the work done to fund projects around the school.

Please search for this page on your Facebook profile and like the page as shown to register for regular updates and images of how we are constantly looking to improve our school for your child.                                    

Essex Short Breaks Survey

Please could you take the time to complete a short survey from Essex Short Breaks. This online survey allows parents, carers and families the opportunity of providing information that will be used to shape future clubs and activities for their children and young people.

Funky Voices Charity Concerts

Celebrating their 10th Anniversary this year, Funky Voices-Essex and Suffolk’s largest modern community choir, are hosting a series of charity concerts, raising money for charities and organisations in the heart of the two counties.

Showcasing their recognised 'wall of sound', Funky Voices will be taking to the stage at venues across Essex and Suffolk to raise funds for local and community charities. Performing their versions of songs by artists known and loved such as Stevie Wonder, Spandau Ballet, Jessie J and many more, the choir promise you a night of uplifting, energetic and inspirational music for the whole family.  They will be hosting a concert on Saturday 1st July at Witham Public Hall to raise funds for Southview School .  Please feel free to tell your friends and family and help raise as much as possible. Sainsbury’s Active Kids

Sainsbury’s Active Kids launched on 25 January with another chance to help learners at the school get active with some new cooking and sports equipment, so please keep collecting and sending the vouchers to school.
